Breakfast
- Fruit Smoothie
- Scrambled Eggs
- Turkey Sausage
There were no big glitches with this meal. Just a teeny-tiny one. First, I must say that I made the smoothie with water, a little bit of coconut milk (canned, full fat) and then added half an avocado. You couldn't taste the avocado, since the frozen fruit masked the taste, but apparently my son does not like his fruit in smoothie form. He took a few sips and proceeded to gobble up his eggs and sausage. My daughter had no problem devouring everything presented to her, especially since she was exhausted and too tired to eat dinner last night.
Lunch
- Applegate Organic Ham
- Baby carrots
- Organic Greek Yogurt
No, yogurt isn't Paleo, but this was full fat and organic, so I had no problem letting my daughter have one. My son passed on it. This meal was more Primal than Paleo. I was supposed to make a carrot dish from Eat Like a Dinosaur as opposed to plain old baby carrots, but completely forgot about it.
Snack
- Leftover mini beef patties
- Plum
This was a no brainer. They both asked for it so I obliged. Done.
Dinner
- Chicken BLT "sandwiches" from Eat Like a Dinosaur
- Cucumber, mango and blueberry salad
- A bowl of strawberries for dessert
Winner! Winner! Chicken dinner! Not to mention the fact that bacon makes everything taste better! There were no problems whatsoever. The kids cleaned their plates as did my husband and I. This will be a dish we add to our growing dinner rotation!
Have a wonderful evening.
